Involvement of Statisticians at the start of a project is essential in guaranteeing the quality of the conclusion and the resulting data. Working with our Data Managers and the client, our Statisticians will assist in developing the optimal objectives, capturing the right information and with a focus on producing a measurable effect on project endpoints. A thorough Statistical Analysis Plan is established and analyses are performed in accordance with all applicable international guidelines. BAI’s Statisticians apply Bracy Analytics SOPs to validate and verify the information represented in the tables, listings, and graphs before inclusion in a final statistical report. BAI’s Analysts prior experience with univariate and multivariate regression analysis, mixed modeling, cluster analysis and other techniques employed in projects, is brought to bear to develop innovative approaches to data analysis and complete their tasks quickly and accurately.

Power Calculation

One of the most important steps in establishing a Study Protocol is the Power Calculation of your sample. In very basic terms, statistical power is the likelihood of achieving statistical significance. In other words, statistical power is the probability of obtaining a p-value less than 0.05 (p < 0.05) with a given sample size. Typically, the smaller the sample size, the larger any difference between group scores will have to be in order to achieve statistical significance.

Statistical power analysis is a set of procedures and formulas that allow us to determine how likely we would achieve statistical significance with a particular sample size (given an assumed true difference between groups). If the likelihood is good (e.g. greater than or equal to an 80% chance), then the sample size is considered adequate.
